The island beneath the sea

When I think about my reading habits, I must to say that I read for placer more when I was a kid than now, now I read more for obligation and that is sad.
My favorite book is called “the portrait of Dorian Gray”; it was written by Oscar Wilde a polemic and controversial artist on his time. The story on the portrait of Dorian Gray is very exciting, I read this book many times and every time I read it I discover something new and unexpected, the story on this book make me think about all the pleasures and risks that we have on life.
During the last summer, and is not the last book that I read, I read a book written by Isabel Allende called “the island beneath the sea”. The story is about the slavery in saint domingue or now Haiti, the principal character is Zarité, a black slave for a white family; the story moves forward on the fight for liberation of slavery by rebel slaves. There are a lot of moments in the book, moments of love, of sadness, of violence and others. Is interesting how the book shows the differences between the black and the white people. Shows the differences between the exploited and the exploitive, and how the white and black cultures involve themselves one in other in the actual culture.

I really enjoyed reading this book, it´s take me about a week and I would recommend the book for everyone who wants to have an interesting and fun moment, besides Isabel Allende is always a good experience.

beyond the myths and stigma of mental illness

http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2013/aug/25/rd-laing-aaron-esterson-mental-illness

This article is about how the mental disease or mental disorders, in this case schizophrenia, has been diagnostics for decades without the contemplation of the family and social context.

The text try to go beyond the myths and stigma of mental illness, and talk about how the mental patients has been confined in mental institutions and has been obligated to take strong drugs as a unique treatment, even the article mention how the mental patients in some moments of history were seen as possessed persons.

The author tells us about how in some cases the mental disease is not only in the patient but as well in its family. It shows the case of patients that were diagnostics of schizophrenia without the consideration of their family context and finally there was the trouble, not only in the patient's but well in their parents.

It is a big problem in the diagnostics of mental health, is impossible to diagnostic a patient with a mental disorder just for its own problems, the professional has to consider how the familiar and social world in which one the patients live and is very important to consider how a psychiatric diagnostic can affect the lives of a patients and it family.

Finally we can not talk about mental disease just talking about biology; the mental diseases are associated to pathological families or sick societies.

Anime

I must to say that i know just a little about anime.

I don’t really saw too much anime when I was a kid. Actually in my memory I can only remember two anime that I saw in my childhood and they were important to me. The first one and my favorite is Ranma ½, the story of this anime is too much interesting, the characters change their normal form if they have contact with water, in the specific case of ranma, he was a black hair boy who transform in a red hair girl when he touch hot water.

Another anime that I remember I saw in my childhood was Hunter X, I can remember that I saw this anime and I really liked it, I remember that every afternoon I was waiting in front of television for a new chapter of hunter X.  But when I think about the storyline of the anime I cant really remember it.

There are another anime stories that I remember as Mikami the ghost hunter, Sailor moon, Saint seiya or
doraemon. I saw all this anime and I love them, However when I became an adult person I never developed a passion for it, and I never saw anime again.

The magic of Chili.

There are many places that i would like to visit in future; some of them are France, Greece, and Egypt. However I have always thought that before I will go anywhere out there I have to visit all the beautiful places in my own country. We always think about the fantastic places that exist in other countries and we forgot how many unimaginable places exist right here in chili.
Chili is full of enigmatic and diverse landscapes, places of extraordinary beauty and culture; we can find magic stories about the different attractive tourist. Just closing our eyes and imagining different regions of our country is an extraordinary experience.
I would love to go to the north of Chili and being on San Pedro of Atacama and know its beautiful constructions; enjoy the magic of desert in flower. Travel across all the enigmatic landscapes in the center of the country; know the valley of Elqui, the historic Valparaiso city, the vineyards. Go to the south and walk on the green woods, visit all the beautiful lakes, know all the magic stories in Chiloe and being in the amazing ice of south.

I am very sure that I will go everywhere in chili and I will end my days living in one of the beautiful places of our country.

My ideal job.

When I think about what I would like to do when I finish university, I always think about social labor. That is the kind of job that I would love to do, something that would give me the chance to know what are the problem with peoples´ lives every day, and how we could work together, in community, to a solution.
Considering what I wrote before, I think that communitarian psychology or educational psychology, are areas of the discipline that I would be good to develop in future. I have always considered that I have social skills and emotional skills will allow me to work in that kind of areas.
Actually it is not easy to find the kind of job I mention before, because the system that produces the public politics today, do not permit to explore the problems of people, and let alone, allow the people to find their own solutions.
However I have the hope that the work that I and others will make in future can change the reality that we live today.
